It’s Christmas! And things are getting festive here at Fernhill House.

We have had singers, choirs and trips out this month. With everybody getting excited and in the spirits it really is a hive of activity, but there is always something fun going on at Fernhill House.

Painting the town Ruby Red

Colours are everywhere in abundance at this time of the year. The wonderful vocalist ‘Ruby Red’ made sure the trend continued as she has been delighting us with her songs recently. She is truly fantastic and a treat to watch, singing a variety of songs from over the decades and ensuring that everyone has a great time. Make sure you catch her next time she is in.

Inter-generational fun

There is always so much going on at Fernhill House. As we draw nearer to Christmas many of the local children have been practicing & performing in festive shows. We are very lucky to be able to welcome many of them in for special shows just for us. In addition to the special Christmas shows every Monday afternoon we have groups of local nursery children in to visit us. Alternate weeks we have the Debutots and Jitterbug groups in to play and sing with us for an hour. They really are delightful and always raise a smile. Why not pop in and watch?

You don’t have to be mad to work here, but it helps…

We recently held our own version of a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’. A crazy afternoon was had by all at our Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon tea party with fresh scones, cakes sandwiches and jam tarts. The morning had kept us all busy with flower arranging and singing, so when the main event arrived we were all raring to go.
